Allegation: Just the News reported that attorney Sidney Powell, in remarks around a Pennsylvania hearing Dominion officials canceled, said “one of the leaders of the Dominion Project overall is Lord [Mark] Malloch-Brown, Mr. [George] Soros’ number two person in the U.K., and part of his organization,” and claimed ties of “Dominion leadership to the Clinton Foundation.” Those are Powell’s words as Just the News printed them. They are not a court finding. This site does not adopt them as fact.
Breitbart, 6 December 2020, reported Powell’s lawsuits as “thus far unsuccessful” and quoted Associated Press language that Smartmatic does not own Dominion and “apparently only provided software to Los Angeles County in the 2020 election.” The Epoch Times, 25 October 2016, Joshua Philipp, reported Smartmatic machines “in 16 states” and identified Malloch-Brown as Smartmatic International chairman and an Open Society board member. That 2016 article is reporting. It is not upgraded here into a 2020 nationwide-machine finding. Epoch Times later reported Smartmatic’s letters demanding retractions from Fox News and Newsmax and printed Smartmatic’s statement that Soros has no ties to the company while confirming Malloch-Brown as SGO chairman newly named OSF president.
